2017 Guest Speaker
Roy Attitude of Gratitude Kardon has been called by many the most inspiring person they have ever met. He is known for lighting up any room he walks into. Roy is one who touches lives wherever he goes. He is a volunteer Chaplain visiting over 1,000 patents a year. Roy is a prolific participant in running races, organized bike rides and triathlons known for always smiling as he shouts out to anyone near him, “have fun get it done.” AOG as he is known to family and many friends is a survivor and thriver. He has beaten cancer and open heart surgery in the last couple years with his usual air of happiness. AOG bounced back from being hit by a fast moving bike that knocked him down and gave him a concussion. Six weeks later he ran in The Philadelphia Marathon Week End. He has re invented himself after the break up of a family business that was supposed to last forever. Just like in his athletic life Roy approaches the commercial real estate world with a smile everyday and a joke for something to make the day a little happier for everyone. While AOG is not the most religious person he is deeply spiritual. Being a volunteer Chaplain has given Roy the vehicle to serve The Sustainer of Life by helping to heal the spirt of those created in The Image of The Almighty. In his nine years of visiting patients he has brought light into the darkness of many patients going through the worst time of their lives and their loved ones. He does not view this as anything more than being Blessed by The Sustainer of Life. Bringing happiness to people is something Roy relishes. He has been given the Gift to be an inspiring speaker who touches many with his speeches filled with humor, inspiration and his boundless energy. He has performed as a comedian at charitable events such as Comics Versus Cancer. He as been a sought after speaker for The American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation, Bike a Thon and Strides Against Breast Cancer. If you do not know him and see him in action you might think he is on something . The something is his Attitude of Gratitude. If you do know him, you will know it is genuine and the stuff that happiness is made of.
